The publication of the world’s first femtocell standard by the 3GPP in April 2009 signalled a major step forward for the technology. The standard, which is undergoing continual evolution and improvement, ensures potentially millions of femtocells can be efficiently integrated into mobile networks. It is critical to demonstrate how effectively the new standard facilitates the interoperability of products from different vendors. This event, being co-organised by ETSI and the Femto Forum, will continue where the first interoperability testing left off by adding the management interface.
